Visit to Jo after delayed appointments

After two false starts, I finally had dinner with my half-sister in Northcote. However, she was terribly depressed at having lost her job at a school for disabled children - apparently because she cried. According to what she told me, one of the autistic boys she was teaching literally tore his jeans, and another attacked her in a quite unconscious manner.

Because my half-sister was so upset, I tried to stay out of her way even though she seemed eager to offer affection.

In any case, the food she offered, though more limited than on previous visits, was excellent. There was a vegetarian pie and some lettuce, which she feared would be too spicy but was in fact quite enjoyable. The tea and a peach I also had tasted just as good.
